Looking at doing this. I can get a 30 year fixed rate at 2.25% . I'm currently at 4.25 % fixed rate. Any advice on using them?

I looked one time a few years back, their closing cost is HIGH.

That's not possible
But you should do their 29 Prime loan. It's going away next week

Don't be fooled. 2.25 30 year fixed will come with A LOT Of closing costs. Learn the difference between APR vs Interest Rate.

I used Costco and got 2.85% on a 20.
It sends you out to compare online to a few different lenders.
I had 30 at 4.5%
This will make me retire early.

2.25 seriously?
I kid you not it is a 30 year fixed rate for 2.25%. Closing cost do seem a little high though but at 2.25% that would lower my monthly bill by 325 dollars that includes property taxes and home insurance. Thats almost 4 thousand a year in savings .It's a Va loan for what it's worth that adds like 2k to the closing cost.

I worked for them right out of college. Do yourself a favor and go get a mortgage thru a credit union or literally anywhere else for all that matter.
