Any accountants here versed in international accounting?

Our government contracting company is looking to expand into international work (primary central and south america.
I am wanting to buy an office in Colombia and I already have three employees in Colombia.
I talked to my accountant about this and he seemed very uncomfortable with this idea telling me while it is legal he was not sure how to handle it.
Can I buy an office there and call it a legit business expense? Is this going to add a lot of work for my accounting team?

Yes. What kind of "accountant" are you using?
If you are expanding into international operations you probably need to find at least a large regional firm that has these capabilities, I seriously doubt a local shop is going to have an international tax specialist.
