529 Savings question?

All of my investment accounts are though my bank USAA,they offer some awesome services but I am not impressed with their 529 college savings program. The 529 savings program offers only 3 investment strategies and it does not give you the option to self invest in funds, stocks or any other securities of choice like you could in a brokerage account. Does anyone know of any 529 saving program offered where I can do the investing and strategizing and still receive a great tax break?
I have read postings on this board about self managed 529 savings portfolios and I would like to know of better options and services so please make suggestions and recommendations.

Remember LA matches up to 14% on your contribution and a deduction against your state taxes. Having said that, if you invest in another states program because you like investment options, you can transfer it all into the LA529 at a later date/year and they I'll match up to 14% on full amount transferred. The amount of match is based on your AGI from previous year tax return.
