Just started a new job and these are my options for my 401k...what do you recommend contributing to and how much? I am not a finance expert but I know its smart to spread it around to minimize risk

I am 25 by the way and I liquidated my first 401k when I changed jobs to buy a house, so I am starting from scratch. Thanks for the help

Contact your 401K and see if they have any "recommend sheets". My company has a sheet which shows a "Conservative," "Moderate" and "Aggressive" allocation at every 5-year age bracket. The allocation is in terms of the percentage which should be invested in each fund.

If they have it, review it and see which funds they recommend for your age bracket. At 25, they'll almost certainly recommend more equity than bonds, etc. But, I used the sheet to research the individual investments to see which ones were more risky.

You can't judge a fund solely on expenses. To do so would be foolish.
