Sikkema makes the Friday night start and goes 7 allowing one run on 4 hits. Toelken picked up the save. Be interesting to see where Beiser slots De Oca this weekend.

Harris, Misner, and Bond went a collective 7 of 11 with 4 runs scored and 2 RBIs. Brumfield wore the collar in his 2nd of 3 SEC games. He might be a true Fr but I'd like to see Beiser start getting Vierling some mid week starts leading off to see what he can do setting the table.

So nothing happened to De Oca? Just chose to start a guy who hasn't started all year on a Friday night? Don't get me wrong. I'm a Sikemma fan. Just seems a bit unorthodox unless something happened.

I agree about Brumfield. He did decent there last year but he has struggled more times than not in the lead off spot this year. Just can't have someone that consistently goes a whole game without getting on base somehow.

Until De Oca quits overthrowing his secondaries and figures out how to locate his FB in the zone, he can't be the Friday night starter.
