Outside of the starters this year Bo Bordelon is the oldest O lineman as a RSSo. Coach Davis has recruited as well or better than anyone the past couple years and this years class looks like it could be his best, the 2025 O line will be absolutely loaded with raw talent but everyone except Bo will be a So or younger. Seems like we would have to get a couple starters from the portal.....Even though EJ will have started 2.5 years it seems like theres at least a chance that he take one more year to show the nfl he can play on the left, not a whole lot of right tackles are taken in the first round, anyone think he could?

I think conventional wisdom is that we will take a couple experienced offensive linemen next season / starter quality if available

we're very screwed at DL this year while our OL is elite - i'm worried about this season being a wash w/ great offensive talent. and then next year the sides will swap, better DL but bad OL... hopefully we can get a damn win or two in the portal

Some of those guys will get really good reps throughout the season in 2024. Should be fine. But they’ll always be looking for some veteran players at multiple positions each transfer window.

but Is there any chance that EJ stays to show the NFL he can also play LT?

I think so. It seems like OL, more than any other position, tend to stay in college 4 years except for maybe a few exceptions who are guaranteed 1st rounders. I don't think Jones is a guaranteed 1st rounder at this point. He may just want to leave school and start his career, but I bet we put an enticing NL package together for him with a promise to play LT to see if he can increase his stock for the '26 draft. I have no idea what the odds are he goes for that, but it's certainly more than zero.
