Of course u are, just like anyone living in Texas or most of us, sorry aggies, your a Longhorn fan. Or same for Alabama, sorry Auburn, your a Bama fan, same can be said for Oklahoma, Florida, Georgia, Ohio fans. I'm leaving out a bunch but u get my point. Your always proud of your State school, & should be. Being from Baton Rouge & a bit biased, a LSU football game is the ultimate place to be in the country on any Saturday.

I went to Ms State and I will say that I NEVER feel as passionate or emotional about Bulldog football (or any sport) than I do about LSU football. Its so engrained in me that it will never change. In all honesty, nothing outside of my family affects me like LSU football. So if someone were to tell me that I'm not a fan because of my diploma, I really couldn't GAF. LSU's athletic department didn't care when they took my money for season tickets, either.
College sports fandom transcends Academia Its a bad argument from people that just want to hurt someone's feelings.
