Great answer, really great.
I'm sure that's what the OP was looking for, a generic statement that doesn't contribute to the conversation one bit.
Well done.
For me, I'd like to see a more spread out fast paced offense. Read options, RB screen plays, and a more vertical passing game.
QB: AJ
WR: Dural, Diarse, Dupre/Quinn
RB: Magee 40%, LF 40%, KH 20%

I'm glad you could actually participate in the conversation unlike everyone else who just attack you for your opinion on who you like. I don't mind the spread offense so much. Not a big fan of HUNH. There were obvious times where LSU ran a spread. 4-5 wide outs one of being a running back. With a lot of speed receivers you may quite possibly see this.

Really what makes AJ qualified? He played one possession and a sloppy bowl game. I understand he has the most "experience".
Well you sort of answered your question. He also understands scheme more, and where to go with the ball. Maybe Rettig does too, but we have no idea of this. Harris obviously has no idea of this, which is why you hear about his freshman mistakes a lot. IMO, the only thing that's stopping AJ from running away with this is the lack of arm strength. If Harris didn't have a cannon, this battle might have already been over.

I loved the offense from last year. It reminds me of the 07 squad.
WTF are you talking about? The offense was nothing like 2007's. How much downfield passing did we do in 07? We averaged 75 plays a game in 07 compared to 65 in 2013. Flynn averaged 6.7 ypa while Mett averaged 10.4. Flynn ran the ball 100 times to Mett's??? We had a more methodical approach to our offense that year compared to our explosive offense last year. Part of that has to do with having better talent, not only at QB, but at WR and RB.
Last year, we were built much more like the FSU offense that won the NCG. Both offenses were big play offenses, and more explosive with high ypa, and ypc averages. Relying on less plays, but bigger impact. If we had a dominant defense, we'd probably have put up even more points than we did.
I think we will play more like the 07 offense this year, hopefully with more impact though. I'm predicting 340 pass 560 run in a 13 game scenario. That's about 69 plays a game. If we can get the down field passing going, the sky is the limit for this team.

Your logic in this thread was all kinds of screwed up. You want a kid with zero meaningful playing time to be the starting QB. Second, your distribution of touches among the running backs would leave LSU in a good bit of trouble.
Not to mention, your reasoning behind starting Rettig is a bit comical:

And no, I'm not a fan of AJ. Even before the Ark game or after the Iowa game.

I like big pro-style QBs. Rettig is that. That's what he was recruited out of high school to be. Whether or not he starts is irrelevant. If AJ or BH turn out to be the next Mett or whatever, I'm happy. I want to win football games. I loved the offense from last year. It reminds me of the 07 squad.
I'm tired of everyone running around screaming about people who support BH or Rettig. You tell me how AJ is more qualified. AJ went into last year as the third string and worked his way to second string. It's entirely possible someone overtakes him.

There are actual reasons for why I don't like AJ which two were mentioned above. I want a big, tall pocket passer. It's my ideal offense. I don't care about a "mobile" qb. As long as he's not a statue and can at least move in the pocket. He doesn't have to run off for the first down. I don't like that style. That's just my style.

Neither Brandon Harris or Anthony Jennings are "mobile" QBs if by mobile you mean running. They can allude blitzers, but by no means are they running QBs. Sounds like you don't really know the personnel either.
"Mobile Quarterback" means they have the ability to run if the play breaks down and make something happen. Think Russel Wilson
"Dual Threat" think Mike Vick.

I understand that. The guy said he doesn't like a mobile QB though. Who wouldn't want a mobile QB? Neither Brandon Harris or Jennings are run first guys. Not even close. That also doesn't mean they can't deliver the ball from the pocket.
