frick that youngest team in the SEC bullshite... and this piece of shite of a basketball team. This is an embarrassement. Alleva needs to fire TJ right now and find a real coach with real SEC players. What a joke... how long is LSU going to be the youngest team in SEC. it seems like they're the youngest team every year.

frick you dude. Those player are wearing my school's name on their chest when they're out there competing and I'm going to support them every game even if they lose every other game from here on out.

And to your dumbass point: we're going to be the youngest team in the SEC until we're not. It's not an opinion. It's fact. Nice hyperbole though... every year? What about 2 years ago?

No the excuse last year was that this was a young team that lost key players to the NBA, that we were waiting on White to play like that other guy said.

Well, here we are. And what do you know, White hasn't done jack shite as far as making a difference and yet we are still young.

Will we be young again next year and the year after that?

We were young and we did have to use a bunch of walk-ons.

Trent has kicked off three players during his tenure at LSU. He's basically had to rely on players like Green and Bass out of necessity. If it was up to him, he wouldn't want to play guys like that meaningful minutes and he could redshirt players. We shouldn't get embarrassed against Ole Miss, but we just don't have "it" yet. One or two more recruits and we'll have a decent team.

Fwiw, ole miss was 0-4 to teams that would/will all beat us handily. Ole miss has
had a tough early sec schedule this year. They'll be 1-6 in the sec before they start winning games in the meat of the sec west play.

No the excuse last year was that we had a bunch of walkons. A lot of people actually had high hopes for that season, thinking Taz and Spencer could provide enough leadership and experience to guide the team to a decent season.

Turns out we had no depth, couldn't actually expect Taz and Spencer to play the entire time and were forced to have a walk ons play significant minutes.

I like circular arguments.

Young - started three juniors that is not young.
Strength - to many easy lay ups not made rebounds taking away from
Shots - shooting horrible percentages
FT - not making them
Defense - Zone worked good for a couple of games but now has been figured out

I dunno... Maybe I just hate the way the word "talent" is tossed around. I think we have talent, but it's young, undeveloped talent.

Let me phrase it a different way: I think we have guys on our team that have enough talent to be very good SEC basketball players after a few years of experience at the collegiate level. I don't think we have players that are so talented that they can come in and light it up in the SEC as freshman (LDO).

When these freshman are juniors, and if TJ continues to bring in more guys like them, then I think we will be a very good team.

We don't one-and-done freshmen now, we have good freshmen who will be good players (hopefully) when they gain experience. I would rather have a great experienced team with depth in one to two years time, than a great one-and-done player with no depth and little experience. Look at how Calipari has done with his incredibly talented freshmen last year. They completely lost their mettle when faced against adversity and that's not the first year it's happened to his teams. He's a shite coach but a sleazy good recruiter. Kentucky will have to forfeit wins in due time. I would rather deal with the hardships in building a quality team, than look like a bunch of assclowns when the NCAA drops the hammer.

In time Trent will be able to seriously look at potential NBA ready players, and he's said that. Right now he has to improve our APR and build from the ground up.

Damn. Some of you are fricking retarded when it comes to basketball.

Your argument is unsound. By your own logic: a team consisting of 3 juniors and 10 freshman is not a young team. You have to look at the whole team, not leave out the parts that don't support your argument.

Nobody is debating that Malcom White has been a disappointment this year. Stop rehashing that straw man argument.
