We were up by double digits when I left to get drunk with my family, I check the updates today and we lost to freaking South Alabama. Holy shite Trent Johnson.

If they put as much time into showing how to put a body on someone as they do coordinating their sweater vests and undershirts we might be aight.

Never trust a team that can't consistently finish games, I guess.

any of you guys really not see something like this coming? after watching the last two seasons i thought it was pretty obvious there would be more of the same.

This...you could feel it as the lead started dwindling the team panicked. Part of that is that is the last two years but part of it is IMHO coaching.

I'll say it again, as long as Trent chooses to play man defense the way he does and allows ill-advised offensive free-lancing without consequence this team will not be consistently competitive.

I've got so many issues with his X's and O's I just don't know where to start. He finally has some kids who can play, he really does but unfortunately IMHO they are not getting the direction they need and their best chance to succeed.

+1 - this team has enough talent to be at least somewhat successful. No excuse for last night.

With the obvious exception of football the LSU athletic department is as flat as its ever been. There are a number of schools not traditionally considered to be in LSU's caliber, Baylor and Vandy come to mind, who are putting forth a better overall athletic program than LSU these days.

Uh let me clue you in genius. It is the head coach's responsibility to recruit and develop good players. The reason we are young is that Trent shite the bed recruiting after year 1 and 2 and only had one SEC caliber player - Ralston Turner to show for it. So of course when he finally signs decent players for this year they are young!

what i find hilarious is that since the day he was hired trent has preached ad nauseum 'defend and rebound with a sense of urgency'

our help defense is alright, we draw some charges but our point of attack defense in man is non existent and where was the zone last night? hey, at some point you've got to accept that you are not a good defensive team(or coach) and make that adjustment. i credited trent for switching it up in the 2nd half of the wku game.

and i havent even touched on rebounding...wow. multiple 6'10 and up guys and a team with a 6'6 guy as their biggest post man just killed us on the boards. hey, i'll give them coastal carolina on the road in a young season but last night, what?

None MC. Only 6 games in and we've already lost twice to teams we should not have.

This team will win some games this year cause the talent is improved, but they just aren't getting the most of the improved talent and that will continue as Trent is nothing if not stubborn and his system is stifling us.

Trent, you can't coach man defense. Go zone the rest of the year and start benching kids for brainless offensive choices and you might achieve a level of success on par with your talent. But we all know that ain't gonna happen.
