Will Perkins be used in the way that he’s most effective?

I was very, very confused at how much of a non-factor the best edge rusher in the country was last night. I would imagine it has to be frustrating for him as well to be dropping back in coverage or acting as a spy all night long. Is this going to be the new norm for HPJ? Kelly commented in the press conference that he’s still learning the new position. It’s just really frustrating to watch him have to lay back when he’s such a talented pass rusher. Hopefully this isn’t the new norm.

Perkins won't be at LSU next year. You can see it in his demeanor on the field. He does not give a shite. He's getting fights in practice and generally just looks low effort on the field. The issue with Perkins last night was Perkins. He had 0 effort and looks like he has 1 step out the door.

Then need to turn him loose and let him go make plays.

Put him on offense and let him run the ball a few times a game

He was ranked dead last at 19/19 for defensive players last night by PFF.

I had him dead last as well

He’s a dog. He plays with emotion and confidence but when you limit him and take it away he loafs around.

That’s why I’m saying he should have some goal line carries. He score an occasional TD and then go back out in defense….son he will ball out

Dude was an undercover spy and quite frankly did a hell of a job. So good that I didn’t notice him all night long.
