So your point is?
Chill..Not trying to be contentious...just didn't remember.
With that being said...better running game puts less pressure on QB. Forces more man coverage and with our size and speed at Wide, could be lethal. It all starts with the running game...IMO.

Again, with Scott out, our running game was no longer a threat.

I'm not being confrontational. I just wasn't sure if you were thinking that his run after Scott's was a point or if I was missing something. Personally, I think both QBs suffered for the last two years from the worst offensive lines that I can remember. And yes, I think Lee line was about as bad as JJ's due to how quickly they quit on him. My opinion is that it is still difficult to determine just how good JL or JJ is or who would be better when all we have seen is them behind their offensive lines.

good enough to make us forget about what the kid did last year against La. Tech? frick NO. Look what Jefferson did in his last start and what Lee did in his. JJ played decently and Lee had maybe the worst game for an LSU QB in 10 years.
MSU?
La Tech had a better ranked defense while Lee had to play without Scott.

Nice pics but were you at the game or watch on tv. The int. was much the fault of the receiver short arming the catch (maybe looking at Loston about to decapitate him)as it was a good play by Loston.

He would rather Jefferson take sacks than lee throw ints
I honestly at this point would rather have a gun slinger who may throw ints.. but also moves the chains and puts up points on the scoreboard..
Jefferson had the offense so stagnant at times.. it was unbearable to watch.. and the sacks were getting beyond frustrating.
I also think if Lee is given a shot.. that he will not throw another pick 6 for the rest of his career at LSU.. the percentages are HIGHLY in his favor.
*ALSO* to the poster putting all the guys intercepting LEE.. thats mainly from one season.. Surely there's been guys to lead the league in interceptions (especially early in their career) who wind up turning it around..
I use to be the biggest Jefferson supporter and Lee basher.. but again I can only take the stagnant offense for so long.. Even if the offense wants to go RUN HEAVY i still think Lee should be the starter at this point.

Pick 6 baby. It happened in the spring Game. Nothing has changed for the guy.

I can't understand how anyone would want Jefferson on the field after watching any game other than Georgia Tech. He holds the ball FOREVER and takes sack after sack. How anyone can get behind a QB that lead the worst LSU offense since...honestly I can't remember an LSU team with a worse offense statistically in my lifetime...is beyond me. I'm not saying JL should 100% be the starter, but to blindly say JJ should be is retarded. He has shown NOTHING to say he should be the #1 right now.
Uhhhh...how could he take forever when he didn't have forever with that O-line last year...remember? Or do you remember seeing how JL looked behind that same O-line? Even worse.

To Doc:
Its on Rival's statistics, La Tech is about ten spots ahead of Moo State.
Jarret Lee definitely sucked it up that game but it hurts when you are down to your fourth-string back. I was just stating that taking one game to represent a player's future performance is a little intellectually dishonest.

he had keiland who was running all over la tech. Or don't you remember?
When the quarterback is playing an injured Louisiana Tech team, in Tiger Stadium, at night, you are expected to do better than 7/22 for 100 yards. That is just bad. 2 of his passes should have been intercepted and run to the house. This was supposed to be a rout and Jarrett Lee kept the game close, not executing his passes, making terrible reads, not knowing routes, staring down his receivers. And when he has 5 seconds in the pocket with virtually no pressure, he throws the ball away and gets intentional grounding.

that doesn't go both ways?
Couldn't you say the same about Jefferson?

because jefferson might have performed better in more practices than lee.... includine the one you witnessed

So far this is how I see it...
Jefferson has taken alot of sacks...I believe he has the tools to be a competent quaterback but needs to believe in his arm and his receivers more. He threw a couple of pretty balls, including a beautiful deep ball to Shep, that were dropped in the spring game. He also needs to learn to read the field, not just his primary receier and safety valve. If he can make these improvements, he should be the starting quarterback and we will be looking at a possible 10-12 win season, possibly SEC and Nat'l champions (yes a little purple and gold glasses).
Lee has thrown alot of interceptions and alot of those have been disasterous, ie pick-6's...he needs to be just a little more conservative, but not much. This kid has a big arm. He has the tools to be an elite, yes I said elite, quarterback. His receivers also dropped some balls and it seems like the team does not believe in him as much as they do Jefferson. He has guts. He has hung in there through ALOT of adversity. If he can limit the big mistakes, win the confidence of his team, (also has a problem with looking on to primary receiver) and not fold when he does make the inevitable mistakes, he should be the starting quarterback and we WILL win 10-12 games and be SEC and Nat'l champ contenders.
In my mind, Lee has the most promise, but whomever can correct the most mistakes should be our starting quarterback. I will root for whoever takes the field, feast or famine, and pull for our Fighting Tigers like a knight of old. I will be painted up, front row of the student section for unfortunately my last student season.
Should be a great year (hopefully), but regardless I will do my part to fight to hold the glory of the purple gold.
