I always hear everyone saying that our line play will be improved. Why do people believe the line will be better?

Lonergan and Dwor a year older. Hurst has the ability imo to be as good as Black or Barksdale. Blackwell is much bigger than Hitt, and should be more effective. Barksdale, Dwor, Lonergan, Blackwell, and Hurst equal better imo.

1) bigger across the board

2) Ben Wilkersen grad assistant coach

3) I liked what I saw from the Spring Game regarding hustle and technique

4) If QB play is better regarding mid - deep passes, it will not allow teams to stack the box like they did in 2009, thus easier blocking , better run game

IMHO - we will see in the NC game opener

B/c the tards have no sense of reality and never believe LSU is as bad as everyone says they are.

I didn't start the thread to flame the line or anyone who thinks they will be improved...just to get that out of the way.

I just wonder why people think they will be so much improved. As we all know, we cannot trust what Miles thinks or says (no matter your feelings about him otherwise) with reference to predicted play of the line after last year's statements prior to the season.

Here is my admittedly uneducated opinion on the line...they are not very athletic with the exception of one or two guys.

I think Miles has under-recruited the o-line and, in the past, they have lacked proper coaching.

Agreed. I look at it like this. The guys that played last yr were not very good, and the ones that are going to play this yr were not good enough to beat out last year's guys.

It never will. Underclassmen have never turned out to be better than upperclassmen. So therefor its not possible to improve. We will continue to get weaker and weaker every season at the O-line position until its that of a JV Football teams talent.

Exactly. And also because the Vegas oddsmakers and every media pundit are nothing but haters and morons.

God forbid someone matures and improves from year to year. i guess we should just give up and call it a season.

Ciron and Hitt played injured last year. Dwyorczak (sp?) and TBob will be a year older and stronger, and larger.

yeah it sucks that players peak both mentally and physically at 18. if only they had the capacity to get stronger or gain a better understanding of the offense we wouldn't be up shits creak this year. sure hope Spencer ware beats out all of our other RBs this year otherwise he's a wasted recruit.

Hurst or Blackwell should have played over Hitt.

Point taken...however, please provide examples of offensive lineman that have improved noticeably while at LSU under Miles.

You could tell Black/T-Bob were playing on bad knees last year.

I'm convinced Hitt had some embarrassing pics of Studwara stashed somewhere.
There is no logical reason for him playing over Blackwell or Hurst.

Dworczyac has also added a lot of weight. Nearly 30 lbs, I think.

They might need time to gel, but the bodies are there.

Miles said he thinks they will be better than last year and he thought last years line was possibly going to be the best line in the history of LSU football, so there you have it. It's a done deal!

because the tards have no sense of reality and think that, while all other SEC teams improve, it is impossible for LSU.
