LSU is very definatley a LOT more like Alabma than Texas.
All other things remaining the same -- if LSU played in the Big 12 and played the teams UT plays over the past 5 years - the winning record would be even better than it is --- which is ~85%
If Alabama was in the SEC East Division --- LSU would have played in the SEC Championship game every year since Miles arrived, EXCEPT 2008, 2009 & 2010.
So, it seems LSU's only real "problem" is not beating Alabama --- which Les Miles has done more than anyone else.
Keep in mind also --- ohter than the BCS game -- for which I have no explanation --- LSU has led Alabama in the 4th quarter in EVERY game.
LSU wins at Alabama this year, I'm confident in our chances because we are better on offense and they are not as good as the past two years on offense or defense. Tigers Win.
