re: why so much complainin?

Some jackass called into Condon today and said he would meet the moving van at Miles' house to help him pack. Condon asked him if he was a season ticket holder, or went to games regularly. He says no, he tailgates occasionally, but doesn't want to deal with the big crowds or traffic. This leads me to say this to him, and his ilk:

(1) if you aren't showing up in the stadium every week, or for that matter spending a dime on the program, STFU. NOW.

(2) tell me exactly who you think we are going to get to replace Les? He is a quality guy, has kept our program almost completely without negative publicity, to the point of curing potential issues, even when he knew it would cause him pain (RP). Good with the media, a family man, both a complete departure from shorty, a load of talent based on being really well-liked by recruits and parents alike, and on and on. Oh yeah, and has 50 wins, probably more, in his 5 years. If we went out to hire a new coach, and he said he could guarantee averaging 10 wins a year, I would be thrilled.

(3) publicly state your expectations (so I can see what fantasyland looks like). An SEC championship every year? A BCS championship, ah, say, every couple of years? Get real. No one does that. CUM lost, what, 4 or 5 games between his NC rings? And he had Superman as his QB that year.

The amount of poison and vitriol on this board are amazing. And I find myself getting caught up in it. The two-headed coordinators didn't work last year, and Les fixed it. In a big way, IMO. And if he thinks that he needs to do the same on the offensive side, I think he will take care of that too.

For now, until proven otherwise, In Les I Trust.

In MIles fifth year it's a positive to be no better than third in the conference with two games left to play?
If we lose to Bama and Florida again next season, will that be acceptable?
