I was actually pretty satisfied with Lee's performance. Yes he has some areas to improve but overall he did decent.

Now, I just love the hypocracy on here though. The say people who were cruficying JJ last year for less than 100 yds passing and throwing short of the marker on 3rd and long and saying that the drops were becasue of his throws and not the WR's. Well now its completly different it's the WRs fault nt the WB even though its the same thing that happened on occassions last season.

If people would jsut be honest and not try to pump up Lee or JJ then things wouldn;t look so radically down on Lee ot whoever they are talking about but on the rant it is impossible for most to not drool over Lee or JJ

Lee did that twice against Oregon.

I know. Last year when JL came in the majority of his pass plays were wr screens and quick slants. I think the coaches notice what most fans don't notice and that is when JL does anything more than a 3 step drop he gets antsy in the pocket. Hopefully as he gets more snaps he will get more confident. If he can get better with his mobility in the pocket this offense will be dangerous.

And many people are just full of shite. Fortunately for me, none of the clowns on this board truly mean a damn thing to my life. If they honestly can't see their own double standards, or are unwilling to admit to them, there's not a damn thing that Jarrett Lee, Jordan Jefferson, you, or I can do about it.

You and I and a lot of others could waste what could be a great season pointing out how disingenous a lot of the folks on this board are. Or we can enjoy the ride. I said my piece this weekend, and I'll occasionally pipe up at other times. But I've made my call.

This could be a special year.

6-10 on 3rd down, 4 resulted in a 1st. also threw his td on 3rd.

that's the difference.

Leave it alone. Like me, you're basically against the hypocrisy of most of the new "positigers" on the board.

Yes it is very frustrating.

I though he did just what he was asked to do. His WR's could have helped him out much more. Could have easily been a 15 / 22 for 150+ night with a 2nd half in which we didn't have to throw the ball.

It's one game vs. a NR team and as such doesn't mean a whole lot at this point, but if one was disappointed last season with wins that came with less than 100 yds passing and less than 50% completion rate, then they should be disappointed/concerned after this game as well. imo

B/c he scares me whenever he passes. He is always throwing off of his back foot. I know this will cost us at some point in the season. His lack of progress in his throwing mechanics and footwork is also scary. At some point, we will have to throw the ball to win a game (or two), and I worry that his bad habits will screw us.

Alot of people don't realize the recievers who dropped passes are not use to the ball being thrown to them in the correct spot. They are use to JJ throwing at their feet or behind them, or 20 yards past them.

The scramble backwards and a few passes behind the receivers were my only complaint.
I'll give him a C, considering the opponent, the setting, and the off the field distractions.
Agree with all but the grade.

Cuz some folks are just ignorant about football. I counted 4 drops that should have been made, 2 for nice gains... with this style of Offense, we dont want Lee putting up 300 yds passing.. i thought he looked good. the few mistakes can and will be easily corrected... i am pumped, it could not have went any better... IMO
