Well not trying to change the thread topic, but lee had his chance to throw last year. We have two qb's that are duel threats.!! Why would we use a single threat "To OUR OWN TEAM" QB for anything more than a third string backup?? Not saying that he couldn't be what we recruited him to be, but he still doesn't add the dimension to our offense like the others two do! He still could get some time but not more than Shepard in my amateur opinion.. Emphasis on amateur OPINION>>

It means he does not know the fricking playbook yet

TT was a 5*, and one of the top WR recruits coming out, and he still doesn't have the system down pat (see blocking on WR screen, for instance). LSU's coaching staff wants their receivers to block and run the correct routes. Shame on them!

If JJ goes down, Lee is your starter...you'd better prepare yourself for that.

Since when is college football about getting one chance in one year and if you fail, you never get to play again?
Why would it be Lee? Simply he's our backup QB. He's a far better passer than Shep. Honestly, Garrett is probably 3rd string before Shep as well.

When is throwing 7 pick 6's and what 12 or 13 interceptions a good QB. Did he look good in high school? YES Did he play good last year NO. Now to be fair! Shepard looked good in high school, has he thrown a ball in college? NO so let him try, but if he plays like Lee did last year then put Lee in. Williams and Scott are both good, but williams looks better in the first two games this year "so far" Doesn't mean that can't change depending on defenses. It's about the team and what makes it better. Now that doesn't mean Lee isn't way better than what he showed last year, but if Shepard can throw on the college level then he is way more of a weapon for us and heck for any defense. Think about it "Washington's QB?? Florida's QB?? Baylor's QB?? Texas QB and even Ohio's!Jefferson too?? Georgia last year NO just passer!! Shepard doesn't have something wrong where he can't throw so I don't understand your argument about Lee over him. We know Shepard can RUN avg. 9 yds in College. Whats more threatening a qb than can throw or one than can run like crazy and throw. Why are we playing Jefferson over Lee then?? Now if we are going to red shirt Shepard then okay use LEE, but that is not the case!!!!!!
