Why are we getting hammered about...the 400+ passing yards we gave up???? That's all I keep hearing from Bama fans at work today

Because they are stupid and don't understand football strategy.

WV had a pretty unique offense. They were powerful but one-dimensional. Plus, the field position game and our offense firing well made the defense strat even better.

We'll probably be running a completely different defense against Bama's offense.

Just tell them we are giving up an average of 5.5 yards per a passing attempt against us. That is 10th best in the country. Bama is # 1 in that category at 3.5 yds per passing attempt, but we have both only given up 3 passing TDs so far this season and we have two more INTs then they do (6 vs 4).

The difference is we have freakish play makers that give our defense that extra dimension of nastiness!

Your friends are pretty stupid, don't worry on November 5th we will see who is the better team. We have a much better quarterback and our defense is as good if not better than theirs. The people who voted us number one and number two obviously count more, have more knowledge than some idiot Sabama homers. They didn't care about anything but the win in a very hostile enviornment. Tell your "friends" those kind of away games will help us get ready for the game in November ... Big time!!!

they are not understanding whats behind those numbers... it was the scheme we played.. we didnt really blitz the qb to allow more defenders in the secondary.. to our fault, we dropped 4 int's that were right in our hands... we catch those 4 and stop a couple of thier long passes, and we probaly score a couple more times... thats not even counting RR dropped pass in the endzone..let them talk thier ignorance of the game all they want, it does not change the facts.... of which we will see when we play em..

We just saw stuff in the WVU game we haven't seen this season, such as:

• 38-yard run by Austin
• 72-yard pass-and-run by Austin
• 3rd-and-13 and 4th-and-4 conversions on WVU's first TD drive
• Austin: 11 catches for 187 yards; Bailey 8 catches for 115 yards

The 2 big plays and letting WVU get back in the game had me reaching for some Pepto, but we took care of business right when they had the momentum so ...

hey leaux, i totally agree with you on this, i am saying the same thing... a better qb and better special teams play gives us the advantage. It will be a tough brawl, no doubt.. but i certainly think we are more than enough to beat em.... IMO

What were the 4th quarter passing numbers? We didn't really start blitzing until then, and it seemed to stop them cold....

Alabama has overcome some serious competition so far this season.
