If anyone believes that Alabama beating Florida benefits LSU in any way, you are a function (if not a nonfunctioning) retard

bama we need them undefeated
We need nothing of the sort.
We need them to have as many losses as possible in case we slip up in a game.
Alabama being undefeated when we play them has ZERO impact on if LSU makes the natty.
LSU just needs to focus on winning the SEC with less than 2 losses. The rest will take care of itself.

we root for Florida because Alabama is in our division.
Wouldn't matter if Bama beats LSU and both teams end up with 1 loss.

Heck no men. Think. It is my understanding that if there is a threeway tie (LSU, BAMA, and AK), LSU goes to the SEC playoff game because BAMA and AK were the last to play for it. We can beat BAMA and lose to AK. BAMA has beaten AK. So LSU must root for Florida. If true, this tiebreaker is as stupid as flipping a coin. Put together rankings in (and out of conference if necessary). We are going to beat Florida and Arkansas in Death Valley anyway. And we are going to beat Alabama; the hype for BAMA (an excellent team) is so extreme that LSU comes in as an underdog and defeats them with Coach Miles' two weeks to prepare. So all of this is really moot except to the ignorant pollsters.

Pulling for the Gators , Saban needs a beat down from a former Assistant.

Alabama. Fear no one. The tigers have a chance to be a very special team. One of the best ever in college football. A team that would be talked about for years. But in order to get there, they need to face the best the college football world has to offer. Beat a #2 or #3 Alabama team and win out would put them there.
To be the best.........

meaningless... we would still have to go thru the SEC final game.
so if the east team beats the west and then they go to the SEC final from the east and we beat them, we would then have still beaten the best team in the SEC. The national ranking would work themselves out if the east team beats the west, as they would climb.

Who needs Bama to be undefeated? It doesn't matter if they are undefeated or have 1 loss when we play. We will both be top 10. It'll still be a huge game. If you pull for Bama you clearly haven't been an LSU fan for long.

This a no- brainer. Florida over Bama.

Totally don't get the people that say it doesn't matter if Bama loses. We all know we probably have to beat them. But the only way they get to two losses and make it easier is if they get one loss first. We want Florida to win.

If the gumps are undefeated going into November, no way in hell the cheating low-life, dirtbag SEC officials allow them to lose on their own turf. Anyone remember ref-gate 2009?
