Most of North Louisiana supports LSU, while up there most are Cowboys fans. Saints fan maybe more loyal though

I think LSU's success in the early 2000's kinda ignited our cohorts down in NOLA.
It showed a Louisiana team could actually win a national title, that it could indeed be done.
Soon after that, tSaint's hired Sean Payton, who in turn brought Drew Brees aboard.
It's pretty clear to me that LSU's success was indeed the impetus for tSaint's great rise to NFL prominence they enjoy to this very day.

This is funny, especially when you consider the fact they were talking about moving to Texas couple years ago.

A lot of people, like myself, are not all that invested in the NFL because it is a mercenary league. They play for money with origins from coast to coast...many of them hold loyalties to their home states versus where they play.
Sure, the college game bears some resemblance, but college players gravitate more to heritage and pride versus The Paycheck.
"I don't give a shite how the team did as long as I get paid!" - former LSU Tiger of his current NFL team. Same player adores LSU......
That was the day I decided to free up my Sundays

I'll tell my friends that graduated from la tech or NLU or northwestern they can't be LSU fans anymore.
Wait a a second though.... What about if their spouse graduate from LSU? Brother or sister? Mom or dad?
Can they be in the LSU fan club by association?
I mean what's the rules here?

Only game I ever cried at was LSU vs Florida 97. I was excited for the Superbowl win, but not nearly as emotionally invested as I am with LSU. I don't think it is close, LSU by a mile. Every football conversation I have with clients always starts with LSU.
