You post this...and then seem happy about it. Why? Are you rooting against the kid? You are glad the kid failed? What a true fan you are. I sure am glad you are a Tiger fan Dumbass.

There are people that openly root against Lee and I just don't get it. The kid handles himself with class and represents the university well, even in his tough times. I hope to God that he has a great rest of the spring and wins the job. I just don't see how you can root against a kid like that.

Well, going by that logic how can you root for Lee to win the starting job thus hoping Jefferson fails? See what I did there?

I wouldnt consider the two starts JJ made to be worthy of "finding the starter"
Ark sucked, won 3-4 games last season
and gatech in the peach bowl was a joke too.

How about we see JJ play in a game that actually matters as JL has and see how he performs before you start labeling the guy.

How about this: JJ is the leading candidate to be the starter, get the most #1 reps in practice; however, the competition is open on a day-to-day basis until our first game?

Make sure our back-up gets enough reps so that 7 interceptions for TD's aren't thrown next year... not even 2, to the extent that that is humanly possible... and we'll go from there.

For the most part... posters aren't "rooting against Lee"... they are disagreeing with posters who favor Lee over Jefferson based upon last years experience.

See what I mean? You're hoping to the Almighty that one player (Lee over Jefferson) is the first string QB.

I believe you probably meant it as moral support for Lee. But, this just fuels the fire for posters to point out the deficiencies of Lee in support of Jefferson. And, some posters take it to bad extremes.

I think J.J. has earned the role of #1 at this time. I think that it is critical to bring J.L. along as the back-up. I also acknowledge that only the coaches are in a position to evaluate the players and we place trust in them to do so, fairly and based upon what they have seen.

Everything else is just our humble opinion on who deserves a position on the team.

I know that if jarrett lee does happen to go in the game, his leash will be mighty short.

two things about the situation that are vry apparent or at least they should be.

#1) people ARE NOT hoping JJ fails so JL can start... i dont get why some of you continue to post this.

#2) It almost seems that not matter what JL happens to accmplish this year it will still take back seast to his problems of 2008.

My god people, its a new season. MOVE THE frick ON.
If JL doesnt improve form last season and continues to make the same mistakes, then sure Ill agree, the guy needs to go elsewhere.

However, pinning the hopes of qb play on JJ from the 2 starts he has made is as dumb as blackballing JL this yr from his mistakes of last season.

I have not seen enough from JJ to make me forget about JL, just as I havent seen enough frmo JL to prove that he cant or wont get better.

This 2009 season will be the tale sign on both these 2 qbs.

i've moved on, but it looks as though he is still having the same problems with the interceptions in spring practice.

could you imagine if he threw a pick six in the spring game?

WOW... I wouldn't want to even witness that.

what about if JJ throws a pick 6?
RS?

how about if JL clearly has best game?

Once again I dont care what happened last season.
too many unknowns and what if's for me.. im ready to watch them play.
If im JL I would feel I have the upper hand.... I have more game experinece plus Im older.

IMO I really dont bleive this whole "getting in his head" thing effects JL.

I hope they(JL/JJ)throw the ball 100 times. Let the competition decide.

No, there aren't. People want the best QB to play, they want to win, there's no agenda against one person.

Look at the posts above this one, my friend. You won't go far before you see that you are wrong.

Some prick made this post at the beginning of this thread...

Lee threw 2 pick 6

Tell me this guy isn't rooting against Lee?

I don't care who starts. I want the best guy for the job to start, and I would like to see both QB's play. I guess the reason I said earlier "that I hope to God Lee starts" is just to see the assholes on this board and how they react.

Anybody that openly roots against someone on the team is just an arse.

I know that is what you meant and honestly I feel the same exact way... if half these assholes didnt feel the need to belittle JL we wouldnt even be having this conversation.

That's what I thought. You don't owe me anything. My main point was simply that when you post something emphatic, you're going to get an emphatic response.

I hope the best for J.J. and J.L. next year.

For the last fricking time. No he didn't. He threw a pick on a 50yd jump ball to end a session but it was not a pick six. Stop listening to Jordy and spreading the same lie.
