MAUCK & FLYNN by far the best in 2000 decade to bad one didn't get hurt and miles didn't start the other a year earlier we may have at least another NC ...Mauck stats 2900 pass 28 td 1 run but we also had 2700 yds running that yr well balance off 2003 w-l is what counts not stats same when flynn qb in 2007

And how we won the National Title in 2007, after he left.

About the NC that everyone keeps giving Flynn for, it was RP that won the SECCG against Tenn that allowed us to reach it.

Had we not won the SECCG, there wouldn't be a 2007 NC. So throw some credit in that direction since RP gets blamed for 2008.

Oh yeah, Mauck and Flynn:

- Like having coaches in the huddle
- high motors
- high football IQs
- a lot of heart
- etc.

stupid comparison...depends on so many other factors...how come some of you stat mongers can't get the concept of "full context comparison" through your noggins...Completion percentage and passing yards could come at the end of the game in soft coverage...and "smart throw aways" under pressure also factor into the stats...furthermore, how did the QB's "Sacks taken" affect the overall offense by hurting the down-and-distance and field position...

just a very shallow question and analysis that is completely useless

i dont think mauck and flynn were stat packers to say the least. i do believe though they could manage a game better then most of our former qb's. i would say the complete opposite if it came to atheltic ability, jr rd were much better, but id rather nc's then sugar bowl wins

Who cares about stats? All I care about are wins and losses. YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME

so is this an attempt to flame JJ? cus in my eyes he wasnt responsible for any of the losses.

Flynn and JR were both great. Mauck was not as good as either. 2003 offense was not explosive, and needed the defense to bail it out a few times. Mauck was good enough, but not special. Many QBs wouldve won with that defense.

LSU in 2003 was a way better team than USC and did not deserve the snub it got from the AP cause everyone was sucking USC arse! All USC could do was pass.. no run.. no defense! Okie was the better team. Mauck would have destoryed USC along with our def.

I beg to differ. With the exceptions of the NC, first UGA game, Ole Miss, and the Florida loss, the offense put up 28 or better in all games. 55 vs. a top 25 Arky, 31 (21 in 1st q) on a solid Auburn, 34 on UGA in the SEC c'ship, and 59 on the road to Zona, which the mighty USC Trojans didn't match.

Clayton, Henderson, Green - what was it about 25 td catches among the 3?

JV rushes for 1,001 yards in bascally 7 games.

Offense was plenty enough explosive.
