why you so mad?

I told you I apologized for making you angry about being in the band. Nobody hates me besides you and other former team sweep members and I suppose other band members youve recruited.

I'm gonna have to assume you just won't accept my apology.

With that said I suppose you can just get the F over or die mad that's all I can tell you.

Just when you thought it was safe to get back in the water. I really thought we were finally done with the JL vs JJ threads, but no we got to end the year with the proverbial QB duo war all over again. RIP it'd done it's over move on. Met is the man now let's hope he can make us forget about last years QB.

I think most of us cheered for both of them when they were in but admit neither was very good

In hindsight, both were talented but handicapped by this f'king offense. Neither learned to read a defense or act properly like a QB should act in the pocket. Hell, Z. Mettenberger with all the talent in the world struggled.

Both gave it their best, but would have done much better somewhere else.

I don't think you'd find any argument from anyone that this wasnt the case.

Only point I was making and have made is that Lee progressed while JJ never did.
I dont/didnt think JL was the answer for 1-9 as some others do, our problems that night were bigger than just one player... however to keep on with JJ as Miles did was as a fan was hard to comphrehend.
Nobody should have been surprised though, that's how it had gone since both players were at LSU.

They both showed promise, but were raw from start to finish. Each had their moment. Just needed some quality training, and never got it.

only one of those happened in the last game

What I'm saying is, he would rather JJ struggle while he was in rather than play well. Thereby wanting LSU to do bad while JJ was qbing.

I dont know.

Does ZM look like he is missing coaching??
His biggest problem is overthrowing people.

Lee's dad was a HS football coach.. you wouldnt think he would want his son to go to a place where the coaches werent going to make his son a better player.

I dont know what they didnt get that they shouldve gotten.
Its easy to say a player that doesnt live up to evrtyones expectations was bc of their coach.
I mean could the same be said for RShep?
How about Al Woods?

SOmetimes the player just isnt what everybody thought.
If I had to bet money I'd say you be hard pressed to get JJ or JL to admit they didnt get enough prep.

Experience goes a long ways on the college level.
JL got "bapitzed under fire" so to speak as a fresh.. I just think the kid had enough potential to grow to a above avg qb had Les chosen to stick with him.

WHat does it matter now?
Nothing, its just dead time and its something to discuss.
Is that not the whole point of this website?

In truth wouldn't everyone on the team do better elsewhere in your view?

Well there were a few times when LSU would have lost due to JJs "playing well." But thanks to Lee, we didnt.

Same can be said the other way too. JJ saved Lee's arse too
