The KEY is simply this:

Keep this team together for the next 2-3 years. No more attrition and Dennis Harrises. If this EXACT same team comes back next year, we will be in the NCAA tourney - mark my words. That is to say that NO ONE from the staring 5 and 8 deep ends up transferring, getting kicked off, or anything detrimental to the program.

The talent is there. I know right now it doesn't seem like it, but considering we're LSU and not a basketball destination for the elite high school player, we do have talent. A year from now, if we have Stringer, Turner, Darrenbecker, Ludwig, White, Dotson, etc. all back and healthy, we can at least win the west.

It's very crucial to not lose ANYBODY. Just imagine in '09 if we would have had Randolph with that squad. Final 4 would have been an almost done deal.

It's frustrating, I know. I am mad, too. This year was supposed to be better than last. I assure you we'll be okay next year if we stay together. Remember how bad we were in '99 with Beshera, Jabari Smith, Stromile (for half the season), and co.? Worst to first a year later.

Thus far the only people that TJ has lost are guys that he has wanted gone. Despite our bad performance today and for most of the year, TJ doesn't have the same problem Brady had where the team didn't trust or like him. Players, and people on the rant that have actually met the guy in any capacity, realize he's the right guy for the job and we just need to be patient.

Down the toilet - the moment the idiots let John Brady go

I said firing John Brady set this program back five years, I never dreamed it would be this bad and neither did LSU

I'm sorry, but there is no excuse for OM running us out of our own gym. This is year three.

NICE guys finish last which is right where we will be two years in a row. Bad performance, that performance sucked and so did about six other games this year. They may not have liked brady but they were never this bad and never quit on him like this team does.

It's not that TJ is nice. He's accountable. Brady was neither. He's gone dude, get over it and stop talking about him. He's never coming back, he's been gone for three years doing horrible at Arkansas St. and we're better off without him.

I met Brady many times, and he was nothing but nice to me. And he got fired the first time he had two consecutive years of regression.

I'd say that based on what I saw alone, Brady was nice and accountable.

i have met them both (tj and Brady) neither will win the Dale Carnegie award. Players like coaches for different reasons and dislike coaches who work their butts off.

A coaches job is not to be popular but to be respected.

Hence why players left on their own accord under Brady and don't under TJ. Because Brady was so respected during his time here.

Had to deal with him on many occasions and he was a prick.

And he's been gone for three years, you people need to move on. It's amazing that y'all still talk about a guy that is doing just as horrible at Arkansas St. with such reverence this long after the fact. Get over it, he isn't coming back nor should you want him to.

I am not praising Brady - I am just saying TJ does not have the greatest personality either and I could care less about personalities-

Coaching is about results= TJ will get years to turn it around unless year 4 is a total bomb which I do not believe it will be

Then why do you spend the majority of your time on the board crying and bitching then?

answer, the right direction.

turner and warren is hurt right now.

we have two big guys coming in to go with the good young talent we have. (darenbecker, turner, and stringer)

you supplement them with the 7'' 1' transfer, the 6'' 9' power forward from ms., white, dotson, warren, and issac. then you are starting to get a number of players who can hoop. then, you will make a run at the s.e.c.

be patient, help is on the way. you have to see the forest beyond the tree. Our best players are our youngest players and we have more coming.

get your "shots" in on trent now because you will be praising him soon.

im sure hes a great guy but he hated the attention the football program got, on several occasions he took jabs at them, and in the end it didnt help him.

It's the players (no motivation).

So motivating the players is not one of the responsibilities of the coach?
