And seriously, I'm just not jazzed up about playing south carolina. I know they are decent, I know the game will be close, blah blah blah. I hope the players dont share my feelings about this game.

I'm kind of the same way. I don't think SC is going to be a very good barometer for where our team is at following the Florida loss.

They will should LSU's offense hang 50 on them like a certain talented but somewhat underachieving-during-SEC-play offense did to a highly regarded defense after losing big.
Otherwise, if the defense holds USCe in check, it won't be because they've improved, it'll be because South Carolina hasn't had the greatest of offense, etc. It won't be that LSU won the battle of USCe offense vs LSU defense, but that USCe lose.
