Sorry Rudy, but if you lived where I lived you might be singing a different tune.
The announcers we have here are so boring and dull they sound like the geeky cousin off of Everybody Loves Raymond. (if you've watched the show you know exactly who I'm talking about lol)

I'm not going to attack anyone or flame anybody, but Hawthorne has been calling games for many years, and back when I was young and LSU was hardly EVER on tv, the only way I could hear a game was listening to Hawthorne on saturday nights (the signal barely reaches up here in El Dorado, Kansas and it only comes in at night)

So what I'm trying to say is I agree with you that he is screwing up more and more, but if I want something that tells me whats goin on I'll sit in front of a computer screen looking at CBS sportsline's gamecenter...

The reason Hawthorne gets mad and might be a little negative is because he loves LSU just as much as you and me and he can't help himself... Did you guys every say anything negative when LEE threw 1 of his pick sixes? Or when LSU's D coordinators had our defense looking retarded?

I know I hurled many cuss words and negative comments to the tv. I would much rather have Hawthorne's passion and enthusiasm then some robot who spews out facts and figures.
