I think this is an unfair statement to the offense after JJ came back.

FIFY
Highest ypg of 2011 season 474, 458, 494 were JJ led.
The 2 games with highest ypp, 8.03 and 7.9, yep him too.
Highest passer rating, yep again.

2 of 1st 8 games were vs AP ranked, #4 and #17, for 25% ranked, and 12.5% top 5.
And UO had the #67 D season's end.

4 of JJ's 6 games were vs AP raanked, #1, #5, #19 and #1 again, for 67% ranked, and 50% ranked top 5.
This was vs defenses ranked UA #1 D, UGA #5 D, Arky #47D and WKU #53 D.
5 of 6 games vs defenses better than UO's, the marquise name of the 1st 8 games.

Want to talk more about unfair statements?

How about just dropping the JJ killed the O shtick?
It's a crock o' shite and it's Germans.

Use the eye test man

My eyes are just fine.

The saw Mathieu have a pretty nice impact on Oregon, LSU without a TD going into the 4th quarter vs. MSU, and Claiborne break open a 6 pt game late in the 3rd with a 99yD k/o return vs WVU.

What my eyes also saw was a passing O, no matter the Sr QB, that pretty much sucked alllllllllll yr as showned by it's national ranking of bout 100.

I don't care who played QB as I don't have a favorite...they both had their moments and they both struggled.

LSU didn't go 13-1 cause of either QB. They went 13-1 cause of a rushing game, a D, and greatttttttttt ST play.

Hopefully Mett can improve our passing game to at least a NR'ing of 50-60 and can have another elite yr.

Is it fall practice yet?

To stop LSU's offense you have to come with numbers to stop the run which also applies pressure to the QB if it's a pass. To beat that the QB needs the courage (ruled out JL) and the smarts (ruled out JJ) to make quick reads and quick deliveries. If our QB can do that we'll maul everyone on our schedule. For sure LSU's D will take care of their end, and I see no reason to doubt our usual great special teams.
