I didn't hear that.. but yeah, that's weird. On the other hand...I've been there before, and I would feel like curling up in the corner of the dugout and sucking my thumb before scarfing down a jalepeno cheeseburger 20 minutes afterwards. After the endorphins wore off, I doubt he felt so festive - then again, he might just be a tough hombre.

There's a whole thread devoted to it on the Rice board and some of them are blaming the bullpen mound for causing it.

that's really stretching. It was a freak deal, but if I were to "blame" anything or anyone, I'd ask the S.S. a few questions. Then again, you have to respect that Rendon didn't point the finger at the S.S.

From the looks of the picture, he just rolled his ankle.
The bullpen dirt had nothing to do with it!
