At somepoint, players have to be accountable for their reputations

sure it looks bad for the institution, but these are students who are help up high among their peers.. and by ESPN TV etc...that feeds their sense of "above the rest".

Not saying it's right with your chest out, but if we dig in every program, I am sure we are going to learn about player conduct problems with great consistency. Bigger programs, top end players get the most exposure thus the bigger story.

and let's not pretend that most players are not African American who come from humble upbringing...single parent...same ole same ole that teachers deal with every single day.

If there is one thing Nole fans are really, really good at, it's completely ignoring anything bad their university or their players do. The amount of denial and/or trying to shift the conversation to bad stuff others have done instead is almost an impressive sight to behold.

It's really sad because I know there are Gators fans who can be the same way, but it seems like at least some of us acknowledge some of the shitstains we've put out (Hernandez, anyone?) and show regret about it. I don't think I've ever seen one - not even just one - Nole fan do the same for any of the long laundry list of crap that's gone on over there, back to Bowden days.
