No, we really don’t. You can’t be better than all the teams all the time. Nobody can. Having competent officiating is critical. Ask TAMU how they feel about their guy who got ejected for the Bama game. You thought Devin White was bad (and it was)....

that's just a psychological thing. You always tend to notice and remember the bad things that happen to you, not the almost-bad things that didn't happen.
If you go back and look at any LSU game from the perspective of the other team, you'd find a lot
I agree with you that that happens for a lot of people but I'm very conscious of that fact so I guard against it mentally and emotionally when I view the penalty calls or non-calls.
Like myself and others have said, when even other fan bases start to notice it, that's when you no there's a problem and it's not just in your head

This is absolutely true and it's what the, "stop being a crybaby" crowd doesn't understand. It's very hard to win when the deck is stacked against you. The tables are tilted. That reduces your chance of winning just as much if not more so than boneheaded plays.
If I say you and me we're going to play a round of poker except I was going to get 5 cards and you were going to get 4 and then you kept losing would you just shrug your shoulders and say, "well I guess that's the way it is" and "I need to just be better at poker"? Or would you complain that it's unfair and demand a 5th card?
I tell you what I would do. I would gather up all my chips, stand up from the table, point right in your face and say, "Give me my fifth motherfricking card or I'm taking my fricking chips and going home and if you don't like it you can STTDB!" This is what a lot of fans want LSU to do. Stand up for themselves or threaten to leave the SEC. Problem is, there's too many chickenshit, political, yes-men in LSU's administration who are addicted to them fat paychecks from the SEC. Too afraid to make waves and demand accountability

We are not an overachieving team. Turns out our schedule was not as tough as anticipated.
Both can be true, and I think both are true.
