How do you guys feel about this team moving forward? I feel if we play like tonight on a consistent basis we can make the tourney.

It's one game, but the talent is there.

I'm worried play from the 5 position and I think our guards need to turn it up a little bit more but I'm confident in this bunch.

this team is going to be a roller coaster. they play like a top 15 squad at times, and others can't even pass the ball to an open man without throwing it away.

they clearly have the pieces to be very good, when the backcourt plays and produces like they did tonight, that is going to help greatly. perimeter d will be a huge "?" but that interior d at the rim can win some games.

quarterman and mickey

We don't have much depth which concerns me.

I'm curious of Musselman's effect on this team and if his help may mean we progress as the season goes.

That was the best game we've played in 2 years.

Really like the development of TQ. gray looked tonight like we expected all season. Martin much improved over last year. Mickey looks like Mickey. Would like to see Hornsby be a more consistent 3-point threat. But the 5 I just mentioned is solid talent. Not elite but good enough to make the tourney. I'm not going to blow my wad over one game but if we can be consistent like this, it's a far cry than how we've played all year.

Our D more than anything was most impressive tonight.

still need to improve a lot on the perimeter defensively, doubt they will but who knows. good news is mickey's timing is on fricking point right now.

Not a huge BBall fan, but watched the game and was impressed!

How good is UMass?

They were a tournament team last year. Looks like they've regressed this year.

No Kentucky last year was. We had 19 turnovers tonight, we have played better.

By far our best performance this year. That's all I want to see. The underperformance earlier was killing me.

I feel better but still cautious. Defense played with energy tonight, but still not very smart. Which was an improvement because we've been playing with inconsistent energy AND not very smart.

Need Grey to keep this up and tone down the turnovers. Next game will be our biggest of the year.

6 players playing essentially scares me, need more depth to compete down the road

Our best teams historically have been pretty short on depth. The very best, the 81 team basically played 6 in crunch time.

But yes, it's better to have depth in case of injuries or foul trouble. Need a couple of guys to show up a bit more on our bench.

CJJ is putting together a hell of a team, but can he coach it? Only one way to find out.
