Remember...these cupcake games can be compared to pre-season pro games...testing the plays and the players. Remember also that only a small portion of the playbook was probably used today which limits what a QB can do. Let's see how the next two games play out and we can panic then if things don't get better. I think we'll be ready for Albarn.

I personally thought both of the QBs looked solid for their first real college football game. You can't expect them to be in game 6 from in week 1.

Lee starts at AU.
Hatch is a transition guy. Just doesn't have the arm to take advantasge of our playmakers.

Your right in some ways, but they dropped the ball for a reason. Thats because their QB RB and WR were getting scared to get hit. Our boys cranked up the hitting today. Secondary had some problems but its the first game, we knew not to expect too much from a secondary that has 5 new starters out of 7.
As for the QBs i thought they did ok. They helped amass 460 yds and 40 points whats all the complaining about. Sure they didnt look great. I didnt expect them too. They got the ball in the playmakers hands. Room for improvement, sure, first game, butterflies. Theres work to be done. We need to improve on passes of more than 10-15 yds. for sure. But looking as mediocre as the QB did we still amassed 460 yds and 40 points. Ill take it. We arent relying on our QB this year. Its our RB that we are relying on and they got an A+ today.

I know this, some of our younger players on D got out of position, but holy crap can they fly to the ball.

lets put i9t this way. Flynn and Mauck weren't head and shoulders better than these 2 and we see how they faired.
