I like how you try and put words in to people mouths...you mean the 4-2-5 defense that I schooled you on....and im guessing your still pissed about being wrong about your boy
JJ at QB....(that I schooled you on over and over and over again)

You can't be serious. You argued for five pages that "bump-n-run" was defensive scheme instead of a type of coverage.

You have no clue when it comes to X's and O's.

And pressuring from the outside against Auburn is a really, really bad idea. The last thing we want for Newton to break contain. You stop the zone read by having your DEs stay at home and not overpursue the RB.

quote:

bump and run is where the 4 down lineman pinch the middle and the backers take the edge...it looks like 4 down lineman but its really six b/c the backers look run first!

Im sorry Mr. Greatest football mind ever...

1. you were wrong about JJ (you thought he was good and that he would progress)
2. you were wrong about JL (you thought he was bad and wouldnt progress)
3. I argued that Bump and Run was a defensive "CALL!!!!!!"

I said, based on everything we had seen up to that point, he was clearly our best option. I never imagined he would regress to this point. Lee needs to play the vast majority snaps.

2. you were wrong about JL (you thought he was bad and wouldnt progress)

You will never be able to back this up. I have never said Lee was "bad" or "wouldn't progress." I said that based on what we knew prior to the season, Jefferson was our best option.

This is what you said, I'm copying it straight from your post:

You're embarrassing yourself.

and where in my OP did I say the DE's have to crash in...???

quote:

3 of them were telling me that LSU was going to stop the zone read because we have the ability and speed to blow it up in the back field...they said that you dont do that by going up the middle with LB's...they stay at home

So we have to blow it up in the backfield, but the DTs and the LBs need to stay at home? Are you suggesting we call a corner blitz on every down?

Here's the deal. I seriously doubt anyone every told you this. Furthermore, I seriously doubt that you know anyone who coaches football.

The zone read is effective when DEs and OLBs overpurse. High schools coaches understand this.

again, where did I say the DE's crash in...oooh thats right you can't find it. Thats because I never said it.

I've admitted many times that Lee needs to get 90% of the snaps, at least.

You just weren't paying attention. You were probably too busy learning the ins and outs of the constant corner blitz defense from your "coach" friends.

ill buy 90%...as long as JJ doesnt get the other 10%....Those go to Shep running the zone read.
