Looked at the play by play log, and we had 3 "three and outs" in the first half, each with two runs and a pass.

Even in the second half, we had two drives in which we had made first downs with passes and then reverted back to "run-run-pass" on the same drive and stalled. This included having a first down at the FL 48 with 7:30 left in the game, but we went "Run-Run-Incomplete Pass" and had to punt.

You'd think these guys could figure out that we don't have the OL to sustain drives by running and/or having the QB drop back and find an open receiver on 3rd and 8. Why not use the spread and throw 60-40 utilizing short passes? This would even set up the run.

Totally agree. We have to throw on non throwing downs to move the chains. We don't have a RB that can get you 4-5 yards when there's no hole. They couldn't defend the short passes to Sullivan or Anderson early and we went away from it. The long ball down the sideline is a tough throw and I think we've been a little lucky with some of those completions. A lot of those throws were under thrown where we made the catch or got a PI call but you can't rely on that. You have to use the middle of the field as well.

An OC working with a challenged OL MUST do the obvious:

*Quick slants were open all game and we have a great WR group for slants
*RB draw- please E do you know what a draw is...
*Screens- LSU ran this once, twice? it worked never saw it again
*Short crossing routes
*RB flat pass
