Maybe it had more to do with the system than beating out Nuss. He fits better into Kiffin’s offense than BK’s.

Maybe, but it’s much more likely that he saw 2026 as his likely first year of starting. Even the GOAT needed two years of starting. Nuss likely isn’t a one-and-done. Very few do it with eligibility left.

This is a ridiculous comparison. I really like Nuss, but he isn’t at the level today that Barrett and Haskins were. Daniels has the potential to be in the Heisman conversation this year IF he takes a step forward as a passer, but he’s not there yet.

Howard’s competition if he had stayed here, while really good, just isn’t close to where Burrow’s was at OSU.
