Dedeaux - 45 years as coach at USC, 11 titles, 28 conference championships, .699 winning percentage

Skip - 18 years as coach at LSU, 5 titles, 7 conference championships, .724 winning percentage.

So Skip has a better overall winning percentage and more titles per season coached. Dedeaux's big advantage is coaching for an extra 27 years. I think it's totally reasonable to say that the guy who coached for 27 extra years deserves some extra credit for it, but by the same token college baseball was probably a more competitive sport in Skip's era.

Man, y'all are killing it.

I voted for Skip only because there was no option for Mike Martin.

I wonder if sending that pitcher back out after that rain delay will forever haunt him

Omaha World Herald

Bertman won with more than 46 percent of the vote, four times as much as Garrido in second place. Dedeaux finished third, ahead of Brock and Marquess.
