I was listening to the game and while at the first moment Hawthorne said the ball would leave the yard, he actually paused and yelled he caught it and I never heard him say it's gone. Now after the play, the other guy with Hawthorne said there was no doubt that the ball was gone when it came off the bat, or something like that. I don't mind being proved wrong, but just to use this as a hammer to beat Hawthorne is useless.
Now Hawthorne did make this call, "...right down the middle for called strike three. He goes down swinging for the xx strikeout of the game."

However, JH does this shite at least once a game.
Once a game? OMG
Considering that there are at least 200 possible plays in an average baseball game. If Jim screws up on one of those wouldn't that give him an error ratio of .005?
I am pretty sure that LSUIEGRAD13 could do better than that. Right?

The homerun call was terrible and it wasn't even his worst of the game.
"Ball 4. No it's a strike em out throw em out double play"
It was neither.

Typical Hawthorne. He's awful.

I heard him say that the other night as well.
