LSU is the first team to be outright defending football AND basketball champions in 52 years. Not since Tennessee in 1967. There have been teams who have shared championships - but not outright.

UF has done it. They were NCAA champs and SEC champs in football and Basketball in 2006

Florida was not the SEC champs in 2006. We were.
They won their football title in Jan 2007 and won that years SEC basketball title.
