I just see a bigger QB being what he's had/needs. Randolph is 6'5ish 230ish type. Kind of the Bryce Petty mold, and Metenberger (s?) type. If he was brought in maybe he knows of a QB to bring in last minute. Especially with his TX ties.

Kills me how bad at QB lsu has been. The whole team, recruiting base, etc is soooooo pro style on both sides of the ball yet getting a good pro style game manager type qb has been a fail. it's like a mix of self infliction and "keeping the locals happy" forcing lsu to take a QB that fits the area. Sorry but starts to seem like having the 'white qb managing/leading the show" is a "look" lsu is afraid of. Best if that ended with Miles.

I agree. 2 others who weren't from here; Nick Saban and Skip Bertman.

Don't need the likes of them around here again.

This year Okie St had a 4800 yard 37 td passer and a 1480 yard 15 td rusher. Hell Rudolph added 10 more TDs on the ground. Over 5000 yards and 37 tds through the air, and over 2300 yards and 35 TDs on the ground.

I am not putting the guy down at all, but those numbers were put up against Big-12 schools with no defense, plus Tulsa, S. Alabama, and Pitt. Do you really think ANYONE can put up numbers like that in the SEC?

The point I took from the article is:

Find a coordinator at the grass roots level.

For the following reasons:

Loyalty
Longevity
Price

We need to be looking for the next guy. Not overpaying guys who will either fail or quickly move on to a head coaching job.

Can o run an internet search to find a coach????

Big unknown.

I heard somewhere that T Boone is no longer going to dump funds into the Okie St athletics.

I would think the new tax laws means that a player on TBP's level will lose a shite-ton of money in lost tax write-offs.

This makes sense.

Mizzu put up 4000 yards and 44 TDs through the air along with 2500 yards on the ground and another 16 TDs

In TAMU's first year in the SEC they put up 4100 pass yards and 28 TDs along with 3150 rush yards and 46 TDs. Last year they put up 3300 pass yards and 25 TDs along with 2750 rush yards and 28 TDs.

In 2015 Ole Miss put up 4350 pass yards and 35 TDs along with 2380 rush yards and 29 TDs.

In 2014 Miss St put up 3650 yards and 31 TDs through the air, adding 3030 rush yards and 29 TDs.

In 2014 Bama, Auburn, and Miss St averaged more than 480 yards and 35 points per game.

Big 10 Ohio State and Penn State have blown the doors off offensively, same with Clemson in the ACC.

Having ridiculous offenses do exist in the SEC as well.

Second most efficient offense in the country, according to ESPN’s FPI Index, which takes into account strength of opponent and “garbage time” scores.
