are you kidding me, come by the greek theatre before most games and you will find just about every section doing their warm ups in front of crowds. for example the drumline puts on a show for a crwod before almost every game.

I've been there several times.
I've heard the warm ups but there is not a "show".
If you saw what troys band did you would understand.

Ok maybe my teeth chattering together messed up my view of Troys halftime show. i also was on the east side so for the most part I saw their backsides. I really thought this was going to be a great performance. i heard that they had a really good band. I don't know but I was not impressed at all. Now were they better then Tulane um yeah but that wouldn't really take a whole lot to be better. I'm not sure what that last part is that they did....the dancers with their boas like they were at the gold club or something. I'm not saying that maybe once it wouldn't be nice to see LSU's band break it down once or twice but after seeing some of the others teams bands before you have to admit the LSU band is one of the best.

let's continue to be unique. never play iron man/star wars. this is for the bands with no tradition.

That was not just Iron Man, that was one of our halftime pieces called "Movie Melody". It includes Batman, Ironman, and James Bond. We didn't just whip out Iron-man, it was part of a collaboration.

I sat a few sections over from the Troy band and would just like to say that I was impressed with their halftime performance. However, am I the only one that noticed how they seemed to start playing right when TGBFTL started playing?

50% of their in-game shite was a rip-off from the university of alabama .. if i closed my eyes i would have thought i was at an alabama game ..

i really thought their band was no better than any competion high school band... they had a pretty big sound but thats what happends when you played the progression of chords they played in that show and you dont move.... i have seen their show before and for a show they have done multiple times the marching and playing while marching was the worst thing i have seen in tiger stadium... tulane had a better sound on the march... if tigerband didnt do 4 day shows almost every week ... we could put on a huge show.... there is no doubt in my mind that tigerband could do the show much better in only 4 days as compared to thier 1 show a year....what would you rather watch the same show everyweek or a new one.. that said i think troy did the best they could with their show and they brought alot to the table....come out and support tigerband at tigerama at the pmac tonight at 8

They weren't very imaginative in the choice of music they played, but they are easily the 2nd best 'sounding' band if they were to be an SEC school, IMHO, FYI, FWIW, SFTU, BTW, TNX, SIUYA.

I sat in the Northeast Corner Section for the Troy Game and also noticed the Troy Band would start playing everytime TGBFTL struck up in the first half of the game, (not that TGBFTL had a lot to celebrate in the first half of the game). However, I did notice in the 2nd half that whenever the Troy Band started playing, the Golden Band from Tigerland would strike up and drown them out. Retaliation? It... Was.... Awesome!!!

FYI we do more than one show a year. No we don't do a new one every week, but we do at least four shows a year. Our first show is for recruitment we take it to different high school competitions as the exhibition band, what you saw was less than half of that show. We did a completely different show for homecoming, and are working on our Veterans day show and will probably start working on our Christmas show at the end of this week or next week.
