Stinger, don't change your question. YOU asked about the PLAYERS on DEFENSE, not the defense as a WHOLE! 2 very different things!

Don't forget that you are in the ACC and haven't won shite in forever! 1 decent season and you act like you guys have been relevant in the last decade!!

1990 Atlantic Coast Conference Champions
1998 Atlantic Coast Conference Co-Champions

The ACC only gets into a BCS bowl because its mandated!

BLEE DIS....Tigers are coming to play!!!

This statement is true, however, does LSU have better players on D than Boston College (9/6-162), VA Tech (9/13-278), Mississippi State (9/20-438), Clemson (10/18-207), F$U (11/1-288), Miami (11/20-472) and UGAg (11/29-409)? The numbers in parentheses are the date and rushing numbers we put up on those teams. Notice how, with the exception of the SEC team, we generally improved as the season went along against the better and better D's.

well the difference is that those teams only had a week to prepare for the triple option. its tough to prepare for something you only see once a year because you have no clue to what is effective against it and you have to start from scratch in the gameplan.

Yes, the original statement was about talent, you are correct. However, there is another question (that you all are wringing your hands over) that is if all your talent will play as a unit. We will see on 12/31.

As for your reference to the ACC, yes it is for sure true we have sucked in BCS games, but if you check a little deeper, you'll see that we have done quite well in BCS conference OOC games - especially the Special Ed Conference this year.

Besides VA Tech beating Pelini's Nebraska, against the SEC we demolished MSU, that Wake D you just saw shut down Ole Miss, Clemson spanked USC(e), we beat UGAg, Wake and Dook both beat a bowl-bound Vandy team.

This is a true statement (except for UGAg, who had 2 weeks). Therein is the biggest difference. I expect a tight game. Should be fun.

That is not right. Georgia had 14 days to prepare. Since you started practice this week and Christmas is next week and then the game the following Wed, that is about the same as you have.

i never said anything about lsu's preparedness. i was just talking about preparing for the triple option in general. i have no excuse for UGA, GT outplayed them in every aspect of the game.

It may not look good as far as education goes, but as far as football, I'd rather the nickname be "Special Ed Conference" than "Athletically Challenged Conference."

I don't like to get into playing around with the initials of conferences. But your statement is not backed up by facts. Which conference in all of football had the most NFL draft choices and the most 1st round draft picks over the last 3 years? The answer starts with Atlantic Coast and ends with conference.

maybe but LSU has lead the sec in the past 10 years in the draft.. Also leading the draft doesnt mean shite, just means you have alot of individual talent and no team play...

Last time I checked LSU has two NC and it was def. team play!

I don't care what your stats are. Last time I checked it was stll the SouthEastern Conference and not the LSUConference.

The point was we were called the Athletically Challenged Conference. I can assure you that the NFL drafts athletes whether you care to acknowledge that fact or not. I can also assure you that the ACC sent more 1st rounders and more total draft choices to the NFL than any other conference over the last three years.

Take your first sentence and then apply it to your second sentence. Then how does the third one make any sense.

Logic is not one of your specialties that is for sure.

That is your opinion and you are entitled to it. I'm not going to argue with you. The facts that I presented are true whether you accept them or not.

I thought this was interesting. I would have thought USC would have more than they do, and Michigan less than they do. LSU is certainly well-represented.

Mia (fla) - 43
Michigan - 40
LSU - 34
Ohio State - 34
Tenn -33
Fla State - 33
U of Florida -32
Texas - 31
Ga - 30
USC - 29

This was on another thread. Dont see any ga tech !

you are aware that tech has more talent than navy and that wake has more discipline in 1 player than all of our players combined.
