I agree. No doubt the officials blew the Peterson interception call, but that doesn't establish an overall bias or conspiracy. Overall, bad calls tend to go both ways. Let's just hope bad calls on either side don't affect this game.

no one from the LSU fanbase ever sees calls go our way. The holding shite for Bama needs to stop. We hold and it goes uncalled too at times, believe it or not. People need to realize that good teams have always and will always get calls. Just so happens Bama has been a good team throughout the history of the SEC for the most part, and this is not because of the refs. Do y'all not remember in 2009 when Arkansas got completely jobbed against Florida several times? Guess what, Florida was the best team in the conference. What a coincidence.... How bout us in 2006 against Tennessee on that last drive. jamarcus def fumbled the ball but was ruled down by contact, then we drive and score the game winning touchdown shortly thereafter.

should have sent shocks through the entire college football world. Not only should all the replay booth officials there that day been fired, but that Alabama booster specifically should have been investigated by Congress.

wow, just wow

You guys make this way too easy. Alabama grad Steve Shaw who is the current head of officials took over THIS year but was officiating some other SEC game the day of the 2009 Bama/LSU game. If you're talking about the old guy that retired this past year, he is NOT an Alabama grad NOR is he a Bama booster. The conspiracy theories surrounding that 2009 game are

the guy in the booth that day was a guy with the last name Landis. I don't want to say this with the rantards reading this thread and acting stupid, but he was the head ref in the 2000 Bama game where they almost gave Bama the recovery on the Davis fumbled punt because they forgot who recovered after reviewing the penalty.

It was obvious though, they must've had one of these up there

i don't think the questioned hs feet being in bounds honestly. i think the question was whether he had gained possession at that point. when he tucked the ball after going out of bounds, they ruled he was still gaining possession when he left the field of play. we got the benefit of the doubt last year in the Florida game on TT's catch. Also another play people never talk about was Doucet's catch against ASU in 2005. Had replay been around then, we lose the game.

Stop it. You bring logic here to the Rant and you are going to have heads explode.

On the other hand, I remember back in 1938, on a third and 5, Bama clearly held, but they didn't call it. I don't remember the outcome of the play or they game, but I remember the no call. THEY SCREWED US!

Hopefully we are up enough to where no-calls or bad calls will be irrelevant. But, that's never the case against a Saban team.

I'm definitely worried of getting fricked over, seems it happens to us a lot considering Bama grads run the officiating crew.

bullshite, It was a clean catch with no bobble whatsoever. He immediately had clear possession. The time between a clean catch and tuck is not a lack of possession.

i'm not saying i agree with the call, just on how i think they ruled on it.

If Tom Ritter calls the game we know Bama got to the SEC and the deck is loaded. I bet he's already warning up a few holding calls for any big plays we squeak by Jesus's Defense.

For some reason I'm worried the ref that flagged Wing is gonna call a BS penalty. He's always yelling at our players after big plays.

Someone please reassure me that this ref will not come within ten miles of the game. He has shown he has an axe to grind against us.

Me and very.

To your point a blind person could have seen PP7 interception on the replay. It was intensional....period.

This was one of the more flagrant blown calls I've ever seen. The Ref was in the perfect location to see and did appear to be looking right at him, the replay proved it was a clean catch in bounds, and there was even physical evidence on the field that he was in bounds. You could even see in the replay where his foot kicked up the turf that left the tell-tale mark.

Hate to say it, but this picture seems to show the headlinesman's view may have been blocked by the 2 (LSU/Ala) players at the 35.

I'm a D-1 official in another sport (and in a different conference), I can say with 100% certainty that there is no conspiracy against any team. The SEC doesn't allow a official to call games that involve a school he attended and one missed or blown call can be the difference between getting a bowl assignment, or staying home after the regular season.

I happen to be friends with the umpire that made the wrong call on the hidden ball trick play a few years ago at Alex Box...that call still gives him nightmares, nobody feels/felt worse than him...nobody. It's not a good feeling, and it's one you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy. I kicked a call in a big game about 6 years ago...somehow crazy fans go a hold of my phone number and email address (I had to change those), the worst was when they started emailing my 12 y/o daughter telling her how horrible I was (among plenty of other things). Trust me, nobody wants to bring that kind of shitstorm down on them and their family.

You want to get every call right, hell even though we are human everybody expects us to get every single call right. That standard is not always easy to live up to.

The guy in the replay booth had written a book on bear Bryant. He should not have participated

if I knew it was going to be a fairly called game, I'd pick LSU by 10+

you are crazy. who ever wins will not win by more than 10 points. I'm not worried about the officiating. So far every game has had fair officiating. The year that y'all keep referring to had bias officiating all throughout the season. This year has been different. No need to think this game will be like TWO YEARS AGO.
