no, didn't get that from him, though commentators can be biased, and it's usually for the favorite...just safety on their part.

I heard all three ESPN Gameday commentators (Herb, Corso, etc) picked 'Bama.

Verne is a count. If he were to ever lose his job as a 'broadcaster' he could surely get the job as the Maryland Mascot or a fluff boy for German skat films.

There was one play LSU had -- it wasn't a huge play , maybe a first down or something and Vern was like YES!

But maybe that was the food cart
