most of scott's yards from last year came early in the season when we nor other teams didn't know actually how poor our passing game was.

We compare to undefeated Alabama very well. Our numbers are very similar on both defense as well as offense. Then there are the players.

They have decent receivers, we have great receivers.
They have a really good defense, we have a really good defense.
They have good special teams, we have good special teams.
The have very good running backs which one is mentioned for heisman, we have very good running backs with one being mentioned for heisman last year.
They have a starting qb who doesn't have a lot of experience, we have a starting qb without a lot of experience and has similar numbers.
They have a good blocking line, we have.......

could it be the scheme that's bogging down the rushing attack?

could it be running out of predictable formations?

i wouldn't pinpoint it on one single facet, just blame it on the whole scheme.

plus different players at certain OL, FB positions, their experience at making plays! we could factor coaching into the equation?
