re: Top 3 Changes to Tiger Stadium...

1. Lights running the length of the upper deck like South Carolina. Would further look like TS was closing in on you.
2. Make the digital billboards run the length of the upper deck and all the way along the area between the south lower and south upper. Not sure if anyone knows what I'm talking about, but those billboards should run the entire length.
3. Instead of a chain length fence running around the stadium, replace with a brick fence around, similar to UGA, AU, etc. Maybe even have ivy grow on the brick fence or something that would look really good like that.
These three things are all doable. The first would be cost the most but the stadium is built so that it could happen. The other two are very viable financially. They won't bring in extra revenue, but are needed aesthetic changes.
If we aren't going to be able to pull a Washington and do a 250 M revamp, we need to start with these small things and continue.
And hire some dudes to power wash the entire stadium. Much needed.

That ought to do it.
I agree with two of those. Can't say that the piped in music is going anywhere as long as we yell sucking on that tiger dick on certain songs.

Why would anyone want to get rid of the Jumotrons?
Hell, they need to be bigger.

Chain link fence looks like a high school stadium. Replace it with wrought iron, brick, etc.
Ugly windows have already been addressed. Stadium is now 8th largest on campus venue. Start making plans for next expansion.

I disagree. The demand just isn't there. Build up the south upper so that you can have more suites or stadium club seating, but don't add general seating yet. That would put us at about 95k and I really don't think that we need to do much more. At this point, it's still one of the louder venues and expanding for the sake of keeping up with other teams doesn't make much sense.

3. Seatbacks on all seats
I hate those aluminum benches I've sat on for 30 straight years. Kills my back.

Buy the chairbacks for the bench seating. I personally wish the bleachers were all the way around unless you pay for a chairback replacement. It looks cooler on television and the empties aren't noticeable.

return the SEZ bathrooms to the original pisswall configuration. the urinal, drywall, etc that someone said made things nicer, actually cut down substantially on the capacity of the bathrooms. plus, have a clear entrance and exit. the way it stands now, there's lines at both doors that each extend out so far that they reach the next women's restrooms -- which have no line.
plus better jumbotrons

Yeah, that's my honorable mention. Good call. It's been a problem for years, too.

1. Tear down the south scoreboard. and Add 3 levels of Suits with room for general seating expansion in the future.
(but do not connect it with the east or west. since the east and west are different i think it'd look stupid, so make it like Bryant-denny.)
2. Artificial turf (NOT purple) - every year the grass gets so tore up and brown. and if you added on to the south that'd be even less sunlight on the grass.
3. Score Board renovations... make the North even nicer. Put 2 smaller score boards with out video. in between the East upper/ New south upper and West upper/ New south upper and get some tickers somewhere that actually show live scores...

They're not different. We tore down the West a few years ago to match the other side on a structural standpoint. If you see the overhead views during our games, they look the same from above even thought he ramps are different on the outside. Connecting them is the point and would look a lot cooler than Bryant Denny's separate look IMO.

The field was great this year, but your point is well taken. We're either going to have to get the fancy, very expensive grass they can grow indoors, OR move to a modern "synthetic" surface, much as I hate to admit it.

Connecting them would add too many seats and the demand isn't there, capacity would be close to 115k if you connected both uppers. But my plan would be:
This, looks really cool at night
TS is in desperate need of a much louder, higher quality sound system. The one we have sounds like a HS game.
I would also convert the entire stadium to charbacks, and pull up the bleachers in the SS and just leave it concrete.
Add a third upper deck in the SEZ with three levels of suites underneath it. Have it to where the new upper sect is seperate from the two existing ones, but connect the concourses with bridges. This would put the capacity at just over 100k
in the two corners between the three upperdecks I would put decent size jumbotrons with a digital scoreboard along the lower railing of the upperdeck above the south ez goal posts.
On the exterior of the new expansion I would dress it up with a fancy exterior with alot of brick and glass. On the inside you could have a nice concourse that fans could enjoy before the game. Make it huge with a big open atrium, with many lounges, tables, hundreds of TV's, retail food outlets, shops, cafe's, etc. Also put a nice sports bar and restaurant on the top level of the suites with one side looking down onto the field and the other looking down into the atrium at the concourse. On the ground outside turn it into a parl like area with fountains, statues, championship flags, trees, benches etc. Would be extremely nice and could be a huge money maker for LSU.
Also add artificial turf

I hope you didn't graduate from architecture school.
Instead, stick with the same materials already on the UW expansion go give the stadium some continuity. Otherwise you a mish-mash of materials with no common thread to tie them together and looks like some kind of collision.

Nope, I'm a poli sci major
I get what youre saying though, I guess use whatever that stuff on the outside of the stadium club is, looks like a type of brick or stone. might be plastic for all I know.

1. Tiger Band moved back to the Northwest corner.
2. No more piped in music and Tiger band plays a helluva lot more.
3. More of the visiting fans moved to the upper deck and the South End Zone gets reclaimed by what were once the rowdiest fans in Tiger Stadium (yep, that goes back about 20 years).
