What I don't get is that everyone keeps saying the BCS job is to put the 2 best teams together but we didn't need them to...the regular season did it. And LSU won, by 3, in OT. Bama lost their chance. If there were no other contenders, then it's understandable to give Bama another shot. But another 1 loss conference champ? Somebody got screwed.

Michigan was the undisputed second best team in 2006, according to the vaunted eyeball test.
OK looked real good in 2003. Miami passed the eyeball test in 2002 and surely couldn't lose to a plodding Ohio state team that had a close shave every week.
If we can tell what teams are better just by looking at them, how come the pundits don't pick every game right?
