In 2030, LSU will be getting a conference payout of $100 million +. NC st will LITERALLY be getting $10-20 million in whatever PISS ANT conference they're in.
Also, oh wise one, the revenue share cap is $20.5 million. This will rise $2-3 million annually.
There are schools (think syracluse, NC state and others), that WILL NOT be able to keep pace with an LSU in revenue share payouts to their athletes.
This is why Clemson and FSU are stabbing their grandmother in her eyes to get a spot in either the SEC or big 10.
Now what your dumb arse might POSSIBLY be referring to is 3rd party NIL, which is separate from revenue share.
I'd still take LSU being able to hang or surpass NC state there as well. I would be shocked if Wade came here, or if the Wade allies making the offer from LSU to him, were doing so without a satisfactory NIL and coaching staff offer to get him back.
If you think NC state having ONE FIFTH!!! (possibly less) of the payout LSU will have has nothing to do with things, YOU are the moron.

“Cool rant, but you’re arguing a different sport and acting like it automatically translates.
Yeah, LSU is going to be swimming in conference money from the Southeastern Conference. Nobody disputes that. But here’s the part you keep ignoring—that money isn’t magically earmarked for basketball.
Football eats first. Always has, always will. Then baseball, facilities, debt, everything else. Basketball gets what’s left unless it’s a priority—and right now it clearly isn’t.
Meanwhile, schools like NC State Wolfpack men's basketball and Syracuse Orange men's basketball don’t need SEC money—they actually prioritize basketball. Their NIL collectives and donor bases are built around hoops, not as an afterthought to football Saturdays.
And your “revenue share cap” point? Congrats—you just proved it’s a cap. LSU can’t just dump $100M into basketball players because it exists. Everyone is working in roughly the same sandbox there.
As for NIL, that’s exactly where this falls apart for you. NIL isn’t tied to conference payouts -it’s booster-driven. If a basketball-first school wants to go all-in, they absolutely can -and often do—outspend football schools on the hardwood.
And bringing up Clemson Tigers football and Florida State Seminoles football just proves the point: that realignment money is about football survival, not making their basketball programs juggernauts.
Bottom line: LSU having more total money doesn’t automatically mean LSU basketball spends more money. If it did, they wouldn’t be where they are right now.
But yeah, keep yelling “$100 million” like recruits are signing checks instead of looking at who actually invests in basketball.”
P.S. I don't give a shite about basketball one way or another. Never have

Listen slingblade, I'm not telling you what LSU is going to spend on basketball.
It's been reported (and I have the hope) the new sherrifs in town are making a run at Wade and want to return LSU to winning in basketball. There are donors that are ready to back a Wade return.
IF (key word here) that is true, LSU is in an INFINITELY better position to compete in basketball in the future than NC state can ever dream to be. Provided (once again) the new brass is serious about basketball.
You claim baseball eats second in the pecking order at LSU. Can you explain to me why men's basketball is getting 15% of the revenue and baseball is fighting for scraps with all the others piss ant sports on campus?? Be sure not to forget to answer this SPECIFIC question if you reply.

Simple, there are more people that donate to baseball, than basketball. So, the school has to fix that buy giving them more revenue share.

That's awfully nice of the athletic department to do that.
Why does almost every school have the model of football 75%, real basketball 15%, dyke basketball 5%, and all the other bullshite sports nobody watches nationally fight over the other 5%????
In fact, I'm not aware of any MAJOR school that does it differently than above. Let me know if there is one.
If LSU is as serious as has been reported about going after Wade, the financing will be there. If they aren't, he won't come back.
You are making the absolute statement that LSU won't fund basketball properly based on their past. We're about to find out.

LSU is not in a situation to pull basketball guys here....sorry to inform. There is nothing special about basketball here......from facility to players, to city....etc etc
I missed the gem above from your earlier post:
FYI, LSU is top 15 all time in signing McDonald's/Parade AAs.
I would also put our all time starting 5 up against ANYBODY.
You're acting like we're Ole Miss in basketball.
