Ed Orgeron - The Strength of Bayou Blood
An eighteen minute interview to show the man that is the LSU football coach.
I will be first in line to admit that I didn’t like the hire when it happened. I was all in the Herman camp. Reflecting back on it now, Coach Ed Orgeron’s hire as the head football coach at LSU could not have been more perfect. My opinion of him changed a couple years back when I met him after he spoke at a local men’s night out. He was personable and so confident that we would return our team to the national championship conversation. But what struck me was how confident he was that he was in the right place, while acknowledging that he wasn’t the first choice by many. He understood why people maybe weren’t as thrilled about his hire and he welcomed the opportunity to prove his worth. I admired him from that day and even more so now. He has a beautiful family and proves that hard work pays off in the end. Though this certainly isn’t the end of the season or his legacy, you would have a hard time finding a better person to represent us and this team. I love him as our coach and am happy that he is finally getting the recognition that he deserves.
