Tiger Stadium at its greatest...
Beamer and VT having to call two timeouts in a row in the route that led up to our first #1 ranking in half a century. Wild night!

the aftermath of the 2007 Florida game, Tim Tebow, one of the most hated players in the country, crying like a little bitch on the field after he just got his arse whipped. Us knowing that we were going to be #1 in the country. My ears ringing for a full day after from the noise.

Does it really get any better? We made that pussy arse bitch cry. How many fan bases can say that?

I say we bring it back this Saturday and make the new pussy arse bitch florida freshman qb question his will to live and his reasons for playing college fb.

What say all?

If UF miraculously pulls this upset, I will bump this thread.

However, for sheer sustained noise and intensity, UF 97 is unsurpassed.

This game from the student section was the most insane experience at a football game I've ever had.

I agree. I was a sophomore that year, and have been going to games since the mid 80's. I was at the earthquake game, but at that age I didn't know better. I was at '03 UGA and last year vs. Bama, missed '07 Fla and '05 Tenn because of med school. I think '97 Fla was absolutely crazy.

I have been in Tiger Stadium for all of the "great games" since the mid-70s and have to give my vote for Florida 1997...we had no shot to win, but, as I entered the stadium, I turned to my wife and predicted a win. She felt it also...we really believed! As the game unfolded, the fans just melted into one concerted and unyielding roar....I thought that my head would explode and was glad for the respite that halftime brought. When the game was in hand, it was the happiest that I have been as a Tiger fan...strangely I was more satisfied with that win than either of the NCs since?! Went down on the field and observed the mayhem of the students pulling down the goalposts.....watched as they passed one post up towards the top of the seating in North endzone to throw it off of the top of the stadium and was relieved when that ill-conceived idea was quashed by EBR sheriff deputies. Went to a friends house and woke up at 2am to watch the replay on ESPN.....watched every moment and then got in my car immediately after the replay and drove three and a half hours to my home in north La. Friend taped the game and I watched it again on Sunday. I guess it was so special because we had been mediocre or downright bad for so long. The loss to Ole Miss the next week reminded us that we weren't elite just yet.
