Reinstate when and if legal issues clear. He needs to miss at least one game just for being dumb enough to get in a fight 2 weeks prior to the biggest game of the year.

Guilty of fighting/breaking curfew: 2 game suspension.

Guilty of kicking a guy's head. Goodbye and good luck.

suspend JJ now.

let JL and Mett know its on them to QB team and prepare.

That way if miraculously all charges are dropped, JJ can play vs Miss State if it seems appropriate based on what Miles hears.

if the case goes to court, the outcome and testimony would influence whether he ever puts the uni back on. if the case drags on, he could play next year if he is somehow exonerated after the season starts. I have never for one second thought JJ was a NFL player so if he can get another year of school, on LSU, he should get his masters or start his teaching certificate, something to make a living. He is regarded outside of LSU as a mediocre C-USA QB. I concur.

He would not play this year, if I were HC, based on what I have read on TD. I presume HC Miles has a good feel for what really came down. If he told me he kicked the guy in the head, I would have already dismissed him from the team. Therefore maybe we have not heard JJ's side of this, since Miles has not yet dropped the ban hammer.

I am actually more concerned about T-Bob Hebert than the disposition of JJ's case. We actually need T-Bob on the team for the Oregon game more than JJ. I realize many people prefer JJ's play over JL and Mett is not ready, but with two OG's injured, we need T-Bob to play vs Oregon.

I would say temporary suspension. They need more facts first.

At this point,
Punish with no suspensions.
Let the team and coach handle it, if something criminal happened, suspension and or dismissal.
I think the press is making way more out of this than it is. Fights happen every weekend in tigerland. Players should know to avoid them.

Dude has never been in trouble in his life except this. Should any of you be kicked out of college for a fist fight? Suspend 3 games but not booted is punishment enough.

For the moment

If it is found that he did what he is being accused of publicly.

It might sound harsh to some, but if he did kick this guy in the head after he was already on the ground then that speaks to the character of the guy. I mean the guy is already on the ground what threat is he to you at that point?

Temporary suspension for the four players who scrapped. The terms of the suspension should last no more than three games. As long as players abide by all rules established by Miles and Alleva then they come back with no further penalties imposed on them No punishment for any other player who broke curfew. The curfew was bs anyway.

You could spread the team punishment over the course of the season so the school could still field a team.

Suspend indefinitely until legal situation is cleared up. If guilty, he's gone for good. A strong statement needs to be made.
